OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
“A Hands on Approach to Independence”
Many people living with neurological conditions experience difficulties with everyday tasks.
People that benefit from an Occupational Therapy home assessment and treatment are those that have difficulties including getting in and out of bed, in and out of chairs, up and down stairs, lack confidence to walk outside on their own and those that require assistance with everyday activities such as washing and dressing.
By seeing you in your own home, your Occupational Therapist will be able to observe the difficulties that you are experiencing with everyday activities and offer advice to enable you to regain or retain your independence and increase your quality of life.
An Occupational Therapist can assess your home environment and provide you with recommendations for equipment or adaptations to retain or regain your independence and will often teach you how to do things in easier, safer, or a new way to enable you to remain as independent as possible.
