Susan Pattison - Chartered Physiotherapist
I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in July 1988. My first post was in Preston where I began my interest in neurology and took postgraduate certificates to extend my knowledge base. By 1992 I moved to Bury working in a rehabilitation unit for people with stroke and MS. In 1993 I joined Highbank Head Injury Unit, a specialist unit dedicated to adults and children with acquired brain injury. Frustrated at the limited physiotherapy services available for patients on their return to the community I became an independent practitioner in 1998. Since then I have developed a successful Practice and continue to drive the business forward. I remain a hands on Physiotherapist and also support and develop my team to meet the varied needs of our clients.

Heather Preston - Occupational Therapist
Having qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1987 I rotated between various specialities until I was inspired to follow a career based in neurology. For 5 years I worked in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation unit treating both in and out patients with neurological conditions. In 1994 I moved from the NHS to work in a social services team, undertaking assessments and the provision of community care packages for clients with complex needs in the community. In August 1995 I became Physical Disabilities Manager, was involved in the establishment of eligibility criteria for the equipment and adaptations service, the supervision of Occupational Therapists and management of a transition service for young adults with neurological disabilities.
Following a career break to support my young family I have taken up the challenge of establishing an Occupational Therapy service to complement and enhance the service available to the clients of Susan Pattison Neurological Physiotherapy.
I have recently become a registered Saeboflex practitioner and am able to offer an upper limb rehabilitation treatment service to our patients.

Lucy Bradley
I graduated from Manchester University in 2004 and worked in the NHS for just over 4 years; working in Bolton, Glossop and London.
During my time in the NHS I worked in a range of different physiotherapy specialties, providing me with a broad range of clinical experience; the most significant of these being Neurology and Orthopaedics.
I continued to improve my clinical competence through Postgraduate courses and have completed the ‘Introduction to Bobath’ training. In April 2010 I joined Susan Pattison Ltd in order to specialise in my greatest interest, Neurology and am thoroughly enjoying working for a team which is truly patient-centred.
I am currently completing an Acupuncture course and am looking forward to establishing the service in the Practice, as well as the potential it can provide as an adjunct to therapy.
I am a member of the clinical interest groups “Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology” and “Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists” and this will facilitate my skills development further.
